The tenant improvement of an existing restaurant space includes the construction of a new wall surrounding the outdoor dining patio, a central fireplace, and a trellis canopy structure with retractable awning. The exterior has arch windows with wooden shutters, which gives the facade a rustic Mexican aesthetic against the adobe plaster wall. The interior of the patio is finished with raw materials and pops of color reminiscent of Mexican culture with an LA twist. A 4-sided fireplace stands as the focal point of the patio. A combination of fixed and freestanding seating surrounds the stucco and tile fireplace. Booth seating anchors the patio on either side with open trellis structures above to mount lighting and sun cover. In addition, the canopy structure is anchored along the booths and spans across the central patio space. The retractable awning provides sun and rain cover while allowing the flexibility to have an uninterrupted connection with the surrounding shopping center. The walls enclosing the patio are finished with a white rustic hand trowelled specialty plaster and green square tile wainscot. The booths and canopy are a rich wood that warms up and softens the entire patio.
